Mr C Knowles – Headteacher
I am proud to be both Head Teacher and a Governor at Hetton School. My responsibilities are…everything! In essence to ensure that all students receive an excellent educational experience and that they have made real progress during their time here.

Margaret Young – Chair of Governors
I have been an active governor at Hetton School for over 10 years, supporting the staff and the governing body in their achievements to date and feel privileged to have been recently elected to the position of Chair of Governors at Hetton School.

As a parent I understand how important it is that our school nurtures and cares for our young people in a safe, secure and stable environment. I believe our children deserve the best, to be inspired and have their aspirations raised to achieve all they are capable of becoming during their life, be it academic or vocational achievements.

My role is not only as a critical friend, but as Governors our roles are defined to challenge the school and the Senior Management Team in their decisions and suggestions. My role as Chair is to ensure the governing body has opportunity to undertake these tasks.

Tony Wilkinson — Vice-Chair of Governors
I have been a Governor at Hetton School since 1984 to the present time.I became a Governor to see that the children of Hetton School get a good education and a good chance in life.
 
 
Mrs J Mckeown – Assistant Headteacher
I am Assistant Head with responsibility for Support within Hetton School which includes Pastoral Care, Attendance and Behaviour. I also ensure we comply in terms of safeguarding and I am the identified Designated Person on the staff with this responsibility.

Ms K Miller — Assistant Headteacher
I am Assistant Headteacher with the responsibility for teaching and learning within Hetton School. My main objective is to support our teachers in a range of ways which ensures they deliver exciting and inspirational lessons that lead to our students progressing well across the curriculum.
 

Mr S Ferguson — Assistant Headteacher
My main role is to oversee the spending of our Pupil Premium grant to ensure the appropriate range of intervention supports student progress.
 

 
Mr P Wilson — Senior Leader / SENCO
My primary responsibility is for the co-ordination of support and intervention for students with special educational needs and disabilities. I also lead on the KS2/3 transition of primary schools in the area.
 

 
Mr A Suleman — Senior Leader
In my role as Senior Leader my main responsibility is to ensure that Pupil Premium students are provided with enough support and encouragement to achieve well at Hetton School, this involves monitoring their progress and providing relevant interventions where necessary.

It is also my responsibility to ensure that I engage with relevant Colleges and Apprenticeship providers in order to support students with their future plans, raise their aspirations and achieve well.
 
 
Miss L Ridley — Senior Leader
My main role as senior leader is to oversee all student recruitment, community & personal development. I also lead on our sports academies.
